Ion-optical design of the focusing system in front of the Super-FRS target

چکیده

The new heavy-ion synchrotron SIS100 [2] will provide high-intensity beams at relativistic energies in the rigidity range (27-100) Tm. In order to produce secondary fragments, the ion beam will interact with the Super-FRS production target, where the beam spot is required to be about (1 × 2) mm in size. Therefore it is necessary to perform careful investigations of the transport beam line between the SIS100 and the Super-FRS. The last part, which consists of a large acceptance strong focusing system, has been investigated. Two options have been chosen for the construction planning:
